A wall of eyes, always looking, never seeing
Clay, 2007
I set out with this project to celebrate difference. I wanted to use the concept of multiples, not to dilute the message, but to enhance it. The focus of the work should not rest on the number of similar objects, but the one that is different. The tablet contains a number of eyes, but all of them are sightless, always looking but never seeing. One eye, having broken free from the masses, has gained the power of sight. Only by thinking different can you see the world for what it truly is.
